My legs hurt - no, not from cycling dear readers but from the fact for the first time in months I did some gentle exercise. No, I'm not riding with these guys, I would struggle to do a couple of miles let alone 490!!!!
So why I am on here - the lovely, if not ever so slightly competitve Niki 'lets kill Jon on the Go-karts' Birkin invited me as I am the man /boy [delete as appropiate] from Minehead who is hoping to make sure their stay on Resort a breeze and they have as much support as possible during their long, long ride. I feel like a complete fake, I'm not out there training in all weathers, I can walk with-out large strides and I haven't been on a bike since the gym last year, however if I can, I said to Niki I will join the ride in Williton where I live and cycle the final 8.2 miles to Minehead to show my support - or I will join at Tesco in Minehead approx 2 minutes form Resort.
Good luck riders, I hope everything goes well and I hope you are all surviving the training, my donation will be on the way soon......
